A Heart Filled with Gratitude
We're just a few days past Thanksgiving and my heart is still filled with gratitude and amazement of the Father's love for me. And as I sat at the table during thanksgiving dinner, I thought to myself just how blessed I am. My husband and I who have been married for 6 years and as you may or may not know it takes time to build relationships. And although I missed being with my biological family this year, I am thankful for my new family. There's nothing like the love of family (biological or extended). It's the same way with the Lord. Once you accept him you are brought into the body of Christ, a new family. He promises that you'll never be alone.
I realize that the holidays can be hard for some people because of loss or the pessimist who are expecting the worst. I can assure you that if you place your trust in him you'll never be alone. Please know that it doesn't mean that life won't happen because it will. And every day isn't going to be filled with happiness, but with Jesus you will have the joy of the Lord and the hope to live a full life. My prayer for you as we approach Christmas is that you'll find all the love and joy this season brings.

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. - John 14:27
