Where Would I Be Without Praying Friends?
About a year and a half ago a decision was made to pray for the youth of our church on Wednesday mornings. As life would have it some stayed and prayed and for others life happened and they did not continue. This morning once again we were praying and one of the ladies blessed my socks off. I am so thankful for her very intentional prayers for our children. I am not sure if you're watching the world around us or not. What I know to be true is that prayer changes things. As it stands today our children are facing a world without many if any boundaries. And in this changing world we have to have a way to help them navigate through it. We ourselves need direction and help to get them through. After all, they truly are our future.
I am so thankful for the women in my life that cover me in prayer. I have to tell you that being a grandmother who has once again become a mother raising a 12 year old girl isn't an easy job. There are days when I could simply through in the towel. Like the days when the notes come in from the school about behavior. Or what about the missing homework? I am not sure about anyone else but the attitude sometime is more than I can take. If it were not for the prayers of the Righteous and a wonderful and supportive husband I am not sure where we (particularly me and her) would be? I believe there are times in our lives when we have to allow room for our humanity. You just got a glimpse of mine. When all else fails I return to my heavenly Father who loves me and soothes my soul. At the end of it all it's still a wonderful worshipful Wednesday!
Where do you go when things become to much for you?
As the scriptures tells us, "Anyone who trusts in him will never be disgraced." Romans 10:11 NLT
Lord, you alone are my inheritance, my cup of blessing, You guard all that is mine. Psalms 16:5 NLT
You will show me the way of life, granting me the joy of your presence and the pleasures of living with you forever. Psalms 16:11 NLT
