What are you thinking?


Everything we do and say begins with a thought. Every idea, every desire, every plan, everything that you think you want to do begins with a thought. Now the question is what are you thinking? What kind of thoughts do you have? When you see yourself in the mirror, what are your thoughts about you? When you look at your hair, what are your thoughts about it? When you are at your job, what are your thoughts about being there?


When I was younger, I had two cousins growing up that I loved. I thought they were the most beautiful. I often felt like I wasn't good enough. They were slim and very shapely. I was short but shapely. They were very fashionable and I wasn't. I so wanted to be like them tall and slim. That wasn't the Lords plan for my life. And today although I am still not tall in height, I am tall in the Lord and I no longer compare myself to others. I am the best version of me that I can be. Oh, there is plenty of work yet to be done within me. However, today I am free in the Lord and I'd love for you to be free in the Lord.


Here are some questions to reflect:


1. Where do your thoughts come from?

2. Who is influencing your thought pattern?

3. How much power do they have on your thoughts?

4. What needs to change?

5. Who needs to be removed from your life?

6. What practices do you need to put in place to move? (i.e. reading scripture daily)


Inspirational note:

God has a plan for you and in Jeremiah 29:11 NLT says, For I know the plans I have for you:, says the Lord. "They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope."
